GNATTY PROBLEM

So, the houses in our area have had a strange infestation of gnats/fruit flies this summer. (Seriously, it’s not just me, I’ve talked to neighbors.)

Anyhow, to get rid of them I went to that reliable source called the Internet.

I found a lot of different product recommendations and I found recommendations about calling your local exterminator.

Then I found a site that said, “Or you could just put about a 1/4 cup vinegar with 2 tsp dishwashing soap in a small plastic container, punch some holes in the lid and wait.  The gnats will crawl in, but they can’t get out.

So that’s what I did.

I’ll just say that a LOT of gnats fell for it and crawled in my trap.

I spent nothing. Called no one. And my gnatty problem is gone.

Just so you know.

  1. That’s what I do for fruit flies, which come in on garden produce at this time of year. I put balsamic vinegar and a banana slice in my bowl. Works really well!
